Freelance Norwegian Instructional Designer

Our current project is in the construction industry. Experience designing for technical or industrial audiences is a plus, but what matters most is the ability to make complex content accessible and engaging.

In General :

1. Works independently across complex, multi-deliverable projects with minimal direction

1. Manages feedback efficiently and proactively flags scope concerns to keep projects on track

1. Balances instructional design principles with practical client needs without losing sight of the learner

1. Collaborates closely with PMs, UI/UX designers, and developers as part of an integrated team

Instructional Craft :

1. Translates SME input and raw content into clear, structured instructional narrative

1. Designs scenario-based learning and knowledge checks that connect to real job performance

1. Writes video scripts that are clear, purposeful, and suited to the audience

1. Adapts content and tone for international and multilingual contexts

Requirements :

1. Strong writing skills are essential; this role is heavily dependent on clear, structured communication

1. Familiarity with Cognitive Load Theory and its application in learning design

1. A minimum of native-level proficiency or C1 in Norwegian and B2 in English is required
