IT/OT Security and Operation Manager (m/f/d)
Introduction
As a transmission system operator, we secure the electricity supply for around eleven million people in Baden-Württemberg. We create the infrastructure for the energy transition by maintaining, optimizing, and expanding the extra-high voltage grid according to demand. With our grid, we not only make the state an innovative electricity hub in the heart of Europe but also play a decisive role in shaping the energy system of the future.
The Plant Operation department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the 380 and 220-kilovolt grid for substations and overhead lines across the region. Furthermore, it carries out quality control for commissioned construction measures in the grid. The goal of Plant Operation is fault-free and accident-free operation with high plant availability. The service area extends across all of Baden-Württemberg or along our HGÜ construction projects (Ultranet, SuedLink etc.).
Tasks
Your field of responsibility includes the operational technical planning of complex IT/OT systems and networks in the HGÜ, E-STATCOM, and Netzbooster plants of our transmission grid
Through your expertise in the field of industrial networks and highly available IT/OT systems, you develop clear operational requirements for the technical structure of these systems and contribute them to ongoing major projects
In close cooperation with suppliers, technical experts, and operations personnel, you develop concepts and standards that make the operation of these plants efficient and safe
In close cooperation with relevant stakeholders, you establish central operational processes of IT/OT service management according to ITIL and are responsible for the implementation and further development of central processes such as Incident Management or Access and Identity Management
In cross-departmental and cross-divisional coordination, you formulate requirements for an ITSM tool and accompany the establishment of integrated IT/OT operations
You promote an overall transparent and risk-based operation of our IT/OT systems in the DC plants, thereby increasing their resilience as part of KRITIS
Profile
You have a completed engineering degree in the field of electrical engineering, information technology, or computer science with a focus on network technology or automation technology
You possess sound specialist knowledge regarding the network technical structure of industrial IT/OT systems and ideally bring in-depth knowledge in the establishment of service management in the IT/OT environment according to industrial frameworks such as ITIL v4
You demonstrate a high willingness to learn and strong motivation for working in a highly complex and dynamic environment
You are characterized by analytical, systematic, and process-oriented thinking, have an independent way of working, and advance topics together as a team
You have good written and spoken English skills and possess a class B driver's license
