Fleet Maintenance Manager

About the role As Fleet Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for leading, developing, and following up on the entire fleet maintenance operation within Stockholm Nord. You have overall responsibility for the operation's personnel, finances, quality, and development, and you work actively to ensure a safe, efficient, and profitable operation.

You have personnel responsibility for production leaders as well as employees in fleet maintenance. The role also includes overall responsibility for over 400 vehicles and operations in six locations: Norrtälje, Rimbo, Märsta, Åkersberga, Vallentuna, and Täby.

An important part of the role is to create clear and standardized working methods and to follow up on the operation through relevant goals and KPIs. You drive improvement work and ensure that the operation continuously develops based on both internal goals and customer needs.

The position involves night work and work at irregular hours, as a large part of the operation is conducted at night.

Your main tasks

Lead and develop the fleet maintenance operation within the region.

Have full budget and profit responsibility for the operation.

Lead, coach, and follow up with subordinate production leaders, supervisors, and employees.

Be responsible for staffing, recruitment, and competence supply.

Ensure a good working environment as well as systematic safety and quality work.

Ensure that common working methods, routines, and processes are implemented, developed, and complied with.

Work with budgets, forecasts, and cost control.

Develop, follow up, and analyze KPI within, among other things, finance, quality, productivity, safety, and employees.

Conduct operational follow-ups and develop action plans.

Drive improvement and efficiency initiatives with a focus on quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

Ensure compliance with laws, agreements, policies, and internal guidelines.

About you

To succeed in the role, you should have strong leadership and experience from working in leading positions, preferably from a similar role. We would like to see that you are accustomed to working in maintenance systems and with tendered traffic where reporting and business dialogue are important. You likely have knowledge of environmental and work environment issues within fleet maintenance, experience from change management, as well as LEAN and/or 5S. You feel at home in the passenger transport industry or other labor-intensive and service-oriented industries. You need to be able to switch between a strategic perspective and operational activities and have the ability to create engagement and clarity among your employees.

You are proficient in MS Office and are preferably an experienced user of Excel. To be able to read our technical manuals, you should also have good knowledge of English.

You should also have

3-5 years of experience in leadership with personnel responsibility as well as budget and profit responsibility.

Experience in business development, process management, and change management.

Good financial understanding and experience working with KPI management.

Experience in quality and work environment work as well as improvement methodologies.
