Become a Tooling Technician Technical Services at Transavia Together with your colleagues, you will contribute directly to the safe and smooth operation of our aircraft. You will do this at an exciting moment: our fleet is making a sustainability leap with the brand-new Airbus A320neo and A321neo. Will you ensure that all our tools are in tip-top shape, from calibrating tools to thinking ahead about what we will need soon? Then we are looking for you!
What will you do? In your new job as a Tooling Technician at the Technical Services, you will be primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of tools and minor maintenance of the fleet used for the maintenance of our aircraft. Together with colleagues within Technical Services, you will ensure that all necessary tools are available on time and in perfect condition, both in Hangar 5 and at our line stations in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Eindhoven.
You will mostly work with your hands. But we also ask you to look beyond the repair in front of you. You are our subject matter expert on tools and equipment, and you will think along with the Manager Training, Tooling & Equipment about what we will need in the coming years.
Our fleet will be replaced in the coming years with two new types of aircraft, namely the Airbus A320neo and Airbus A321neo. We have already been able to receive the first new additions. That also means new tools. Which tooling we need, what can be phased out, and when we purchase what, you will have a say in.
And you will do much more, such as: Checking, repairing, calibrating, and certifying tools, tool trolleys, and equipment;
Performing minor repairs to tools and vehicles;
Thinking along about the tooling we need for the A320neo and A321neo;
Identifying what frequently breaks or does not work in practice, and coming up with a proposal to do it better;
Monitoring the budget established in consultation with the Manager Tooling & Equipment for all special aviation tooling & equipment.
Where will you land? You will land within the Fleet & Technical Services (F&TS) department. This department operates from our hangar at Schiphol-Oost and is responsible for the technical preparation of our aircraft. F&TS includes Aircraft Maintenance, Materials Management, Engineering, Planning & Control, and supporting departments such as Maintenance Control, Project Management, and F&TS Support.
This is what you get Gross monthly salary between €3,097.- and €4,196.-;

The right baggage As a Tooling Technician Technical Services, you bring: A technical education at MBO3 or 4 level, in the direction of WTB or mechanical technology;
Some knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is a plus.
You read and understand English-language technical documentation, because all tooling manuals are in English;
You are handy across a wide range of technology, work accurately, and solve problems independently;
You look beyond today's task. If something structurally does not work, you come up with a proposal to do it differently, even if we have been doing it that way for years;
Driving license B, as you will regularly visit our line stations in Rotterdam and Eindhoven.
