Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a primary school in Northampton who are looking for an experienced Specialist Provision Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis, working with children aged 4-7 across EYFS and KS1. Specialist Provision Teacher - Northampton, Northamptonshire ASAP start EYFS & KS1 specialist provision Supporting children aged 4-7 with ASD Long-term opportunity Paid to scale from day one About the school - Specialist Provision Teacher - Northampton, Northamptonshire This inclusive primary school has a specialist provision dedicated to supporting children aged between 4 and 7 across EYFS and KS1. The provision caters for pupils who have an EHCP for communication and interaction needs, specifically Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) . The provision provides a nurturing, structured and supportive environment where children are able to access learning at a pace and level appropriate to their individual needs. Staff work closely together to develop pupils' communication, social interaction, independence and emotional wellbeing, alongside their academic development. The successful teacher will be joining a dedicated and supportive team who are committed to creating positive outcomes for children with autism. You will play a key role in planning and delivering engaging, differentiated learning experiences, while helping pupils develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive both within the specialist provision and the wider school environment. About you - Specialist Provision Teacher - Northampton, Northamptonshire Must hold QTS

Primary teaching experience, ideally within EYFS and/or KS1

Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or complex communication and interaction needs

A strong understanding of autism and how it can impact communication, learning, behaviour and social interaction

Confident adapting and differentiating the curriculum to meet individual needs

Able to provide a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment

Understanding of strategies to support communication, sensory needs, emotional regulation and positive behaviour

Patient, empathetic and passionate about supporting children with additional needs

Able to work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEND professionals, families and the wider school team

Available to start ASAP and commit to a long-term role
