We are working closely with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Rugby who are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from October 2026 . This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a part-time school-based role , working 10:00am-2:00pm every day, Monday to Friday , while providing tailored one-to-one support within a nurturing school environment. The successful candidate will work closely with a child on a one-to-one basis , helping them overcome barriers to learning, develop independence, and engage positively with their education. The school supports pupils with a range of needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, social and emotional needs, and learning difficulties . Your Role Will Involve: Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with additional needs

Working 10:00am-2:00pm, Monday to Friday

Supporting the child's academic, social, and emotional development

Assisting the class teacher with personalised learning activities and interventions

Helping the pupil manage emotions, regulate behaviour, and engage in classroom activities

Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive relationships

Supporting communication and social skills development

Creating a calm, consistent, and inclusive learning environment

Working collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals where required

We're Looking For Someone Who: Has a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN

Is patient, caring, and able to build strong relationships with pupils

Has a calm and consistent approach when supporting challenging situations

Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Is resilient, proactive, and adaptable

Has experience working with children in a school, care, nursery, youth work, or similar setting (desirable but not essential)

Is enthusiastic about developing their skills within a primary school environment

Is available to work 10:00am-2:00pm, Monday to Friday
