School Cook

School Cook - Shirebrook, NG20 £15.00 per hour | 8:30am - 1:30pm Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced School Cook to work within a school in Shirebrook, NG20 . This is an excellent opportunity for someone with catering experience who is confident preparing and serving nutritious meals within a busy school environment. You will play an important role in ensuring pupils receive high-quality meals while maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and kitchen organisation. Responsibilities: Preparing and cooking nutritious meals for pupils and staff

Following planned menus and accommodating allergies and dietary requirements

Ensuring food is prepared, stored and served safely

Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen

Supporting with stock management, deliveries and food rotation

Following all relevant food safety, health and safety and safeguarding procedures

Working closely with catering and school staff to ensure an efficient lunchtime service

Cleaning kitchen equipment, work surfaces and food preparation areas as required

Requirements: Previous experience working within a kitchen or catering environment

School, nursery, care or similar high-volume catering experience would be advantageous

A good understanding of food hygiene and safe food preparation

Food Hygiene/Food Safety qualification desirable

An understanding of allergies and special dietary requirements

Reliable, organised and able to work efficiently within a busy environment

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

You MUST already hold a Child Only Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service

Hours: 8:30am - 1:30pm

Pay: £15.00 per hour
