Residential Support Worker Roles - Kidderminster

We are currently recruiting experienced Residential Support Workers for a children's residential home in the Kidderminster area .

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking for stable, long-term work within a supportive residential team, with a positive working environment and a strong focus on the care and development of young people.

The home supports children and young people with a range of emotional, behavioural and additional needs , so previous experience in residential care, children's services, SEND, education or support work is highly valued.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
• Supporting emotional regulation and managing challenging behaviour
• Providing day-to-day care and creating a safe, stable home environment
• Supporting young people with routines, education and personal development
• Maintaining safeguarding standards and following care plans
• Communicating effectively with young people, colleagues and external professionals
• Completing accurate daily records and reporting any concerns appropriately
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive decision-making
• Supporting activities, appointments and community-based activities
• Responding appropriately to incidents and following agreed de-escalation strategies

We are looking for people who are patient, resilient, reliable and genuinely committed to supporting young people . Previous experience within a children's home or similar setting is preferred.
