Part time Teaching Assistant

Part-Time Teaching Assistant Location: Salford Role: Teaching Assistant Contract: Part-time, 3 days per week Start Date: September 2026

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Salford on a part-time basis, working 3 days per week .

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who enjoys working across different year groups and is looking for a varied role within a supportive primary school environment.

The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:

• Support pupils across different year groups as required.
• Provide classroom support to help pupils access the curriculum.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to provide additional support.
• Occasionally lead intervention groups to support pupils with their academic progress.
• Work closely with class teachers and other support staff to meet the needs of pupils.
• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate The successful Teaching Assistant will:

• Have previous experience working within a primary school setting.
• Be confident supporting pupils across different year groups.
• Have a positive, flexible and adaptable approach.
• Be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be passionate about supporting children and helping them reach their potential.
