Knowsley Location: Knowsley Contract: Part Time, Temporary Days: Monday and Tuesday Hours: 8.00am - 4.00pm Start Date: Immediate Pay: £14-£15 per hour Food Technology Technician Required for a Knowsley Secondary School Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Food Technology Technician to join a secondary school in Knowsley on a part-time basis. The role will be working every Monday and Tuesday, from 8.00am to 4.00pm , starting immediately and continuing until further notice. The successful Food Technology Technician will support the Food Technology department with the preparation of ingredients, equipment and practical resources for lessons, ensuring classrooms and food preparation areas are clean, safe and ready for students. The Role Prepare ingredients, equipment and materials for Food Technology lessons Support teachers during practical Food Technology lessons Ensure kitchens and food preparation areas are clean, organised and safe Maintain and organise Food Technology equipment and resources Follow appropriate food hygiene, health and safety procedures Assist with stock management and ordering of ingredients and supplies Support the smooth running of practical lessons across KS3 and KS4 The Ideal Candidate The school is looking for a Food Technology Technician who has experience working in a school, college, catering or food preparation environment. Relevant experience of Food Technology, catering, hospitality or professional food preparation would be advantageous. A good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety is also desirable.
