EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant

Southall, Ealing | Full-time | Long-term Start date: ASAP Pay: Competitive daily rate, dependent on experience A primary school in Southall is looking for a caring and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a child in EYFS on a full-time, long-term basis, starting as soon as possible. This role would suit someone who enjoys working with younger children and has experience supporting pupils with additional needs. You'll work closely with the class teacher and wider SEN team to help the child access learning, develop communication and social skills, and build confidence and independence within the classroom. The school is looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and consistent, with the ability to build a positive relationship with the child and provide tailored support throughout the school day. The Role You'll provide dedicated 1:1 support to an EYFS pupil, helping them engage with learning and participate in classroom activities. Responsibilities include: Providing individualised support throughout the school day. Supporting the child with early learning, play-based activities and classroom routines. Helping the child develop communication, social and independence skills. Encouraging engagement and participation in activities alongside their peers. Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour. Adapting activities and instructions to meet the child's individual needs. Working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to follow support strategies. Monitoring progress and sharing observations with relevant staff.
