1:1 Tutor - Northamptonshire Location: Northamptonshire Role: 1:1 Tutor Hours: From 5+ hours per week Booking via: Tradewind Recruitment

Are you an experienced tutor or teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to a young person's education?

We are currently looking for 1:1 Tutors across Northamptonshire to provide in-person tuition to students who require additional support with their education. The students will have EHCPs and may have a range of additional needs, so we are looking for patient, adaptable and engaging educators who can build positive relationships and tailor their approach to each individual learner.

The Role

As a 1:1 Tutor, you will provide personalised tuition sessions, helping students to re-engage with education, build confidence and make progress towards their individual targets.

Depending on the student, tuition may cover subjects including:

• Maths
• English
• Science
• GCSE-level subjects
• Functional Skills
• Other core curriculum subjects

Sessions will be delivered in person , with the number of hours varying depending on the student's needs. Some referrals may require 5+ hours of tuition per week , with potential for additional hours where appropriate.

We're Looking For

The ideal tutor will have:

• Previous teaching or tutoring experience
• Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs/SEN
• A good understanding of the secondary curriculum and/or GCSE subjects
• The ability to adapt lessons to suit individual learning needs
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, nurturing and consistent approach
• The ability to work independently and provide engaging 1:1 sessions
• Relevant teaching, tutoring or subject-specific qualifications/experience
• Experience working with students with EHCPs, SEMH, ASC, ADHD or other additional needs would be highly beneficial.
