An established professional services firm are seeking a contractor for 6 months as they enter a busy period with their upcoming audit. You will be a qualified accountant who is audit trained. You can be straight from practice or have practice plus some industry experience. You will be working as part of a collaborative finance team. The main purpose of the role will include assisting with the audit, month-end and due diligence.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Support the preparation of year-end audit deliverables.
- Act as a key audit contact to coordinate day-to-day information requests and resolve audit queries efficiently.
- Monitor audit timelines proactively to ensure successful sign-off.
- Support the production of statutory financial statements.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare financial analysis and supporting reports.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of due diligence
- Support financial controls and drive process efficiency initiatives.
- Deliver ad hoc support as required.
Knowledge & experience:
- Qualified accountant - ACA / ACCA/ CA
- A background in Audit is essential
- Good systems and excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Able to pick up tasks quickly
