The Town of Tisdale Recreation and Parks Department is accepting applications for a Parks Labourer Worker to join our team. Position Responsibilities:Report directly to the Foreman and the Director of Recreation & Parks.Maintenance and upkeep of parks, green spaces, trails, cemetery grounds, and recreational facilitiesOperation and basic maintenance of department equipment and machineryLawn care, landscaping, and groundskeeping dutiesAssisting with set-up and tear-down of recreational events and facilitiesPerform custodial dutiesResponsibility of securing the buildingEnsuring public spaces are safe, clean, and well-maintainedWork collaboratively with all staff or independently to meet operational goalsPerform additional duties and provide additional support as assignedBe accessible and able to communicate and work with the public and community organizations Preferred Qualifications/skills include:It is expected that ALL applicants will include copies of all current certifications and awards when they apply.Valid drivers license and drivers abstractPossess and demonstrate sound mechanical knowledge in various types of equipmentResponsible, self-motivated, team-orientedAbility to work independentlyStrong work ethic, reliability, and attention to safety Additional Information:Job Status Full-Time commencing September 17th, 2026Starting Wage Minimum starting wage $20.00/hr.- negotiable depending on qualifications (benefits as per Collective Agreement with CUPE Local 777-02)Must provide a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check Application Deadline September 10th, 2026 Working hours: August- mid-April: shifts include evenings and weekends Mid-April- August: Generally, Monday- Friday ______________________________________________________________________
