Total Assist is currently recruiting for a Locum Speech and Language Therapist to support a specialist private healthcare service in Somerset.
Your tasks
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to work within a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessment and intervention to support patients with communication and swallowing difficulties.
- Assess and manage patients with speech, language, communication and swallowing difficulties.
- Provide appropriate therapeutic interventions and clinical recommendations.
- Complete clinical assessments, reports and patient documentation.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes.
- Contribute to individualised care planning and ongoing reviews.
Requirements
- Relevant qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Previous clinical experience within a relevant healthcare setting.
- Dysphagia training and experience would be highly desirable.
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
