Assistant Divisional Manager
The post of Assistant Divisional Manager is a key position within the trust’s senior management structure. Reporting to the Divisional Manager, the Assistant Divisional Manager is responsible for providing operational and strategic management support to the Divisional Manager, Head of Nursing and Divisional Director to assist them in the development and modernisation of Moorfields’ services.
The Assistant Divisional Manager has a wide range of responsibilities, ensuring the effective development and operation of the Division’s services. In addition, this post will directly support the implementation of the Trust’s electronic patient record and the Division moving to a new hospital site.
This is a new post to the Division and agreed on a fixed term basis. The post holder will need to be flexible to support the competing demands on the Division. This could mean taking a lead on an aspect of planning for the major projects or stepping in to provide interim support a service if there are gaps within the operational team.
The post-holder is responsible for effective operational management, leadership, expertise and support for several key areas within the Division ensuring the delivery of high quality, safe and effective patient services within the resources available. The post holder will provide operational support to the Division to deliver the Trust’s overall strategy and objectives. This will include playing a key role in identifying opportunities for clinical and administrative innovation and modernisation, ensuring the delivery of all operational performance and strategic objectives specifically the Trust waiting list (RTT)/A&E performance, financial, HR management, Health and Safety management, risk, clinical & quality governance.
