Group Management Accountant

6 Month Contract (View to go permanent) Full time - 35 hours per week Hybrid working after handover Based just outside Haywards Heath (car owner) £60,000 - £65,000 per annum, plus further benefits and parking Tony Alan Recruitment are looking for a Group Management Accountant to join an established £50m+ turnover business based just outside the Haywards Heath area. The delivery of effective financial information for management and external reporting purposes. Provide financial information for Group Financial Controller, Finance Director and the CFO. Key responsibilities will include: Completion of accurate Group management accounts, including stock valuation, prepayments and accruals on a timely basis Monthly reconciliations which run alongside Management Accounts up to Group consolidation Submission of weekly and monthly financial reports for the Group with commentary and comparison to budgets. Develop use of the finance systems and implement appropriate controls and processes for effective and automated financial reporting to ensure a strong control environment Maintain financial security by following internal controls Management of the year-end audit process, including coordination with the audit team, managing deliverables and responding to queries Collate and prepare statistical information as and when required Manage Taxation payments Provide technical guidance and support Support the finance team and impart knowledge and assistance as required To prepare all relevant Financial Statements To manage external audit process including preparation of supporting schedules Key requirements: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Strong technical knowledge Experience in managing the requirements of a year-end audit process A strong sense and awareness of control and attention to detail, balanced with an ability to see the bigger picture Must be extremely diligent, reliable and self-motivated in nature Available at short notice
