Client Property Accountant

£35,000 - £37,000 per annum plus bonus, study support and further benefits

Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for a Client Accountant to join a leading business in the London Bridge area on a permanent basis.

As a Client Accountant, you will have your own property portfolio and play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of financial information and maintaining strong client relationships. You will work closely with property management teams, clients, and external stakeholders to provide exceptional service and financial insight.

Your duties will include:

• Bank reconciliations
• Identify funds available for transfer to client and reconcile rental balance held
• Produce accurate client statements on a timely basis
• Provide reports using excel
• Timely and accurate client accounting to include rent, service & insurance charges to tenants, VAT invoices, rent deposits, cash receipts, transfer of rental income to clients, reconciliation of Service Charges, VAT reporting, client reporting and any other ad hoc reports as appropriate
• Ensure preparation and review of all annual service charge cash reconciliations, and clearance of reconciling items
• Liaise with Auditors and Solicitors as appropriate
• Client meetings to understand their reporting needs
• Calculation and compilation of completion statements, rent review calculations and interest

Key requirements:

• Client accounting experience with strong understanding and knowledge of RICS regulations, CIS, VAT and NRL requirements
• Good IT skills in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and TRAMPS
• Excellent organisation and time management, able to meet tight deadlines and respond to urgent requests
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative
