Your tasks
Job Description In this position, you will lead approximately 13 colleagues from the areas of production quality and supplier quality. You will set priorities, provide expert support, develop the team, and coordinate the resolution of key quality issues in both production and at suppliers. In this position, you will report to the Quality Manager.
This is a practically oriented leadership position in a project manufacturing environment, which bridges people management with support in solving more complex technical and qualitative problems.
Your role includes
- managing supplier quality, including audits, performance assessment, and monitoring corrective actions,
- coordinating quality in the areas of material receipt, production, warehouse, and spare parts,
- resolving non-conforming material, production defects, and component issues, including root cause analysis,
- collaborating with production, technology, procurement, and suppliers to resolve issues and implement corrective actions,
- improving control processes, work instructions, and documentation,
- monitoring KPIs, preparing reports, and presenting results, risks, and improvement suggestions,
- participating in internal and external audits and in projects related to new products, material changes, or manufacturing processes,
- responsibility for the control and labeling of blocked materials and deciding on their further use.
While leading people, you will create an environment with clear priorities, open communication, regular feedback, and space for development. The production quality team operates independently, so your role will primarily be setting the direction, supporting colleagues, and getting involved in solving more challenging situations.
Requirements
- University education in a technical field. We are also open to people with secondary technical education who can balance this requirement with longer relevant experience in the field of quality.
- Experience in production quality, supplier quality, or a related technical function in a manufacturing environment. We are also open to people with senior experience in quality, process, or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience in leading or coordinating people, setting priorities, delegating tasks, and providing expert support to a team. Previous experience in a formal leadership position is not a requirement if you have relevant experience in team coordination and the motivation to move into a leadership role.
- Practical experience in resolving non-conforming material, production defects, or component issues.
- Knowledge of quality tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa, CAPA, FMEA/PFMEA, or SPC.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, supplier audits, and principles of continuous improvement.
- Analytical and structured thinking and the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Knowledge of MS Office; experience with Power BI or an ERP system is an advantage.
- English at a level of independent working communication with foreign colleagues, suppliers, and management.
