Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant who will take on a key role in the area of local accounting and financial reporting for the Slovak entity of the company TOMRA RECYCLING.

This position is not about routine accounting. You will have a significant impact on the quality of financial processes, support automation, collaborate with the company management, and participate in the further development of the finance department.

What will you be doing? 🟠responsibility for main accounting processes in accordance with Slovak legislation, 🟠accounting of invoices, processing of payments and payroll accounting, preparation of VAT, responsibility for the asset register 🟠collaboration on the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual closings, 🟠preparation of financial and statistical statements 🟠collaboration with external auditors during audits, 🟠inventory of general ledger accounts and coordination of inventory, 🟠identification and resolution of accounting discrepancies, 🟠calculation of provisions and suspense items 🟠design and implementation of process improvements, 🟠support for automation and digitalization of financial processes, 🟠providing professional guidance and support to colleagues within the team, 🟠close collaboration with both the local and international finance team.

A successful candidate should have: at least 5 years of experience in the field of accounting, very good knowledge of Slovak accounting and tax regulations, experience with monthly and annual closings, experience with VAT, tax returns and audits, advanced knowledge of MS Excel, experience with ERP systems (SAP, IFS or equivalent), English at a level allowing for everyday business communication, analytical thinking and problem-solving orientation.

It will be an advantage: experience in a manufacturing or international environment, experience with process automation, knowledge of Power BI, experience with IFRS reporting.
