Are you a person who masters the big picture, is firm, yet practical, and has the will and skill to work with people? In this role, you will get to organize, direct, and encourage the logistics staff and their work together with your colleagues. With your meaningful contribution, you will also influence the smoothness of work, the store availability of Tokmanni products, and staff satisfaction.

We are strengthening the supervisory organization of our Mäntsälä logistics center and are looking for new team leaders to join our positive and motivated group. We are seeking individuals who possess the ability to motivate and who deeply value the well-being of the work community to become team leaders.

As a team leader, you are responsible for directing the daily operations of the logistics center in cooperation with various stakeholders (e.g., production control). You ensure the smoothness of daily operations and compliance with instructions so that work progresses qualitatively and safely on schedule. You direct, guide, and assist the staff to ensure the smoothness and safety of work. You solve emerging challenges firmly and without delay and create good team spirit with your encouraging and positive attitude.

Your tasks also include ensuring the implementation of multi-skilling, reporting, and leading various meetings and working groups. Through good and fair supervision, you maintain and develop a good working atmosphere and employer brand. Additionally, you act as the direct supervisor for your own team.

What kind of person is suitable for a team leader role?

• Supervisory experience and knowledge of the logistics sector or service business, as well as experience in a large warehouse work environment, are prerequisites for success in this role.
• Occupational safety in our logistics center and actions that value people are paramount, so this job is for you if you are approachable, encouraging, and handle matters with a firm and respectful approach.
• You perceive the big picture and have organizational skills, as your workday may consist of highly varied tasks that you may not always be able to prepare for in advance.
• Personnel are a resource to us, and we are looking for a team leader whose work centers on people. Although the role also includes administrative responsibilities, you will spend a large part of your workday with the staff, directing, supporting, and solving everyday situations. Our employees expect to receive help, guidance, motivation, encouragement, feedback, and above all, solutions from you regarding issues that arise. Therefore, you tackle unexpected decision-making situations and challenges to be solved quickly, and you are not afraid to face setbacks and act firmly when the situation requires it.
• You have the skill and will to develop operations together with the staff and other supervisors. However, you also know how to use Excel and other common software fluently, and you have at least a basic command of English.

The employment is for an indefinite period and begins according to the agreement. The weekly working hours are 37.5 hours, and the work is 2-shift work. The workplace is located in Tokmanni's logistics center in Etelä-Mäntsälä along the Lahti motorway, only about a 30-minute drive from Kehä III.
