Responsibilities: Lead and mentor a dedicated team, guiding them in best practices for health and safety management. Develop, implement, and continuously improve Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and guidelines. Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize workplace hazards. Oversee and lead incident investigations , identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions. Ensure full OHS compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal standards. Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs for all employees. Manage emergency preparedness and response plans , ensuring readiness for any unforeseen circumstances. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and maintain high safety standards. Collaborate with operations and management teams to integrate safety seamlessly into all business processes. Skills & Technologies: You will leverage your deep expertise in Safety, Health, and Safety and Environment , alongside advanced capabilities in Risk Management, OHS Compliance, Incident Management, and Emergency Response Planning . A strong understanding of Environmental Management Systems, Auditing, and Policy Development is crucial. Proven Experience: A robust 5-10 years of progressive experience in Health & Safety roles, with a demonstrable track record of leadership and impact within an operational setting. Managerial Acumen: Significant managerial level experience , ideally within an Operations/Management context, showcasing your ability to lead teams and strategic initiatives. Essential Skills: Expertise across a comprehensive suite of skills including Safety, Health, and Safety and Environment (HSE) . This encompasses profound knowledge in Risk Management, OHS Compliance, Incident Management, Emergency Response Planning, Environmental Management Systems, Auditing, and Policy Development . Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to inspire, motivate, and effectively communicate complex safety information to diverse audiences. Analytical Prowess: Strong analytical skills to conduct thorough investigations, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions. Certification Advantage: Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) are highly advantageous.
