Design Office Manager M/F

As part of the development of our activities, we are looking for a Design Office Manager to join our Saint-Lin (79) site.

Reporting to the Site Director and as a member of the management committee, you will lead all Design Office activities and be responsible for the technical, economic, and industrial performance of the product portfolio developed on the site. You will contribute to the plant's strategic orientations and play a key role in the technological transformation of our products and our development methods.

A true manager, you will lead a team of engineers and technicians, in close collaboration with the Production, Industrialization, Quality, Purchasing, and After-Sales Service teams. Your main missions are as follows:

• Manage, support, and develop the skills of the Design Office team.
• Define and deploy the technical roadmap for products, in line with the Group's strategy and market expectations.
• Lead new product development projects as well as evolutions of the existing range, ensuring compliance with QCD (Quality, Cost, Delay) objectives.
• Promote innovation, creativity, and Design to Cost approaches to improve the competitiveness of our products, by ensuring technological and competitive monitoring to anticipate market evolutions.
• Supervise the development of technical solutions, from the design phase to the validation of technical files, by coordinating mechanical, electrical, and software expertise.
• Deploy and guarantee the application of product development methodologies (APQP, risk analysis, Product AMDEC, design reviews, Validation & Verification), which guarantee the quality of the studies performed.
• Guarantee product compliance with customer requirements, current standards, and performance objectives.
• Participate in technical reviews with strategic customers and support the resolution of critical technical issues encountered during operation or during commissioning.
• Ensure project coordination with the various departments of the company and other Group sites.
• Manage the Design Office budget and performance indicators, propose necessary investments, and implement associated action plans.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Design Office methods, tools, and processes.

Profile sought: Your assets for success:

Holding an Engineering degree in a technical field, you have solid experience (minimum 10 years) in a design office and in managing technical teams, acquired in the development of special machines, industrial vehicles, mobile machinery, or complex equipment integrating mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and embedded software systems. You master product development processes and associated tools (CAO, PDM/PLM, ERP, configuration management).

As a hands-on manager, you know how to structure a Design Office organization, manage a project portfolio, and support the transformation and skill development of teams in a context of growth and continuous improvement.

Recognized for your leadership, you combine innovation, cost control, technical risk management, and industrial performance. A professional level of English is indispensable to operate in an international environment and collaborate with the various Group sites.
