Tasks

• Carrying out make-or-buy analyses and decisions based on total-cost considerations as well as participating in the conception and implementation of Advanced-Negotiations-Concepts (e.g., auctions, biddings, speed-dating)
• Analysis of requirements and demand forecasts, coordination of medium- to long-term planning with projects, as well as derivation of activities for capacity assurance in cooperation with technical and disciplinary supervisors; active participation in interdisciplinary project and IPT teams
• Support and further development of the supplier pool including supplier searching, evaluation, and definition of development measures; central role as the contract contact person, coordination with procurement interfaces (e.g., PPM) and requirement holders, as well as planning, preparation, and execution of tenders, negotiations, award recommendations, and individual or framework agreements for (strategic) suppliers
• International contract and negotiation management including leading (cross-functional) negotiation teams, active supplier risk management (preventive and reactive), identification of contractual deviations, support in claim management, conducting procurement market analyses, and ensuring compliance with company and cash management requirements
• Development, implementation, and monitoring of the commodity group and procurement strategy (incl. supplier pool optimization), ensuring the application of all relevant procurement levers, coordination of supplier relationships ("One Face to the Supplier"), monitoring of orders according to time-cost-quality criteria until the end of the warranty period, as well as willingness for cross-location activities and business trips as well as supplier visits

Profile

• Completed university degree or two-year technical college training plus 3-5 years of professional experience in the procurement of an industrial company/production plant as well as additional specialized training
• Sound negotiation competence, commercial understanding, basic knowledge of contract law, as well as experience in the analysis and negotiation of essential contract passages
• Independent, analytical, and structured way of working, strong communication skills in spoken and written form, proficient English skills in spoken and written form
• High sense of responsibility, initiative, strong conflict and problem-solving competence, high intercultural competence, as well as teamwork skills
• Technical affinity, willingness to travel, and the ability to work independently in interdisciplinary teams
