Tasks

• Operating, monitoring, and maintaining the sonar and weapon control system, the torpedo tube set, as well as weapon loading on board a submarine or in a submarine maintenance group
• In the event of a malfunction, providing support in troubleshooting and, if necessary, taking over the repair of the affected systems
• Creating training documentation and presentations as well as conducting technical customer training (also in export) in English
• Writing technical manuals and maintenance documents as well as evaluating spare parts proposals
• Assisting with QSA activities in connection with logistical delivery services
• Supporting the maintenance of security vessels and the possibility of deck service on board a TKMS special vessel
• Supporting production in STW/HAT projects of submarines

Profile

• Proof of training in the field of seafaring, sonar, or a comparable specialist field and fulfillment of the basic qualification to be a submarine operator
• Watchkeeping certification for bridge service according to STCW95 as well as several years of professional experience and specific further training for current submarine types
• Willingness to accept long absences due to seafaring, and the ability to work independently on a complex field of tasks from various specialist areas
• Extensive system and specialist knowledge as well as interface competence to safely coordinate diverse areas of responsibility
• Process-oriented and structured thinking, solution- and result-focused working
• Satisfactory English skills and convincing clear communication as well as teamwork skills
• Ideally several years of experience on board a submarine to bring this know-how into daily operations
