Tasks
- Comprehensive legal advice and review of complex (project) contracts
- Negotiation with domestic and foreign ministries, other authorities, and international clients
- Advising management and segment leadership on all legal matters (incl. overarching strategic issues)
- Holistic advice to projects and specialist departments as a business partner in all legal matters
- Leading settlement negotiations, preparation, and management of contentious disputes
- Steering and involvement of external (especially international) lawyers / law firms
- Legal steering and support of projects through involvement in the project organization
- Special expertise in at least one other area of law (e.g., IP-Recht, dispute resolution, export control law)
Profile
- University degree in law (2. Staatsexamen) with above-average exam results
- Several years (> 6 years) of relevant professional experience in an international environment (law firm, company, or in industry and/or plant engineering)
- Business-fluent English skills, knowledge of other foreign languages desirable
- Flexibility, integrity, and responsibility in fulfilling job requirements from corporate governance perspectives
