Export Control Specialist (m/f/d) (Head of Export)

Tasks

• Control and release of export transactions as well as assessment of goods, software, and technologies regarding their classification in the statutory goods lists according to Außenwirtschaftsgesetz, Kriegswaffenkontrollgesetz, and potentially foreign export laws
• Application for permits according to AWG and KWKG or submission of preliminary inquiries to the competent authorities (e.g., BAFA, BMWE) as well as maintenance of the electronic Kriegswaffenbuch
• Administration of export and KWKG permits (production, transport, acquisition, transfer) including timely application for extensions and monitoring the use of granted permits
• Development and documentation of processes for particularly highly regulated export procedures, especially in technology transfer, as well as documentation of decisions made in audit and administration processes
• Point of contact for export and Kriegswaffenkontrolle topics within the company, at subsidiaries and authorities, as well as conducting sanctions list checks and training measures on export control and Kriegswaffenkontrolle

Profile

• Completed technical degree or comparable training/further education in the field of export and Kriegswaffenkontrolle
• Several years of experience in export and Kriegswaffenkontrolle as well as points of contact with shipping and customs processes
• Proficient use of MS-Office, SAP as well as professional skills in internet research
• Strong sense of law, interest in the implementation of statutory requirements as well as willingness to learn and undergo further training in Außenwirtschafts- and Kriegswaffenrecht; good English skills in speaking and writing
• Strong communicative and team-oriented skills, assertiveness, technical understanding, organizational skills, high sense of responsibility, and a structured way of working
