Tasks

• Development towards Project Manager (m/f/d) Main System (PMMS) with prospective overall responsibility for assigned main systems in a new naval construction project
• Preparation and assumption of responsibility for a main system in a technologically demanding, dynamic environment
• Building and maintaining stakeholder management competencies towards customers, authorities, and external partners
• Controlling the specialist departments and system owners regarding quality, cost, and schedule QKT across all project phases to ensure project goals
• Responsibility for compliance with defined processes, methods, and tools as well as for knowledge transfer within the project
• Coordination of interdisciplinary teams from engineering, production, and procurement, as well as effective control of customers, suppliers, acceptance authorities, and partners
• Participation in risk, change, and configuration management to ensure a controlled project environment

Profile

• Completed technical studies (e.g., shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering) and several years of professional experience, preferably in the naval or defense industry
• Sound project management knowledge as well as initial practical experience with systems engineering methods
• Ideally proven project management certification, for example IPMA Level C or B
• Conceptual and system-oriented thinking, independent solution of complex problems, and precise analysis
• Strong team and intercultural competence, high assertiveness, and entrepreneurial thinking
• Confident, committed action, high resilience, as well as a sovereign and solution-oriented approach in critical situations
• Very good English skills, confident handling of common MS Office applications, and willingness to undertake national as well as international travel, including possible sea voyages
