Combat Systems Trainee Manager

Responsibilities and assignments

Activities The Combat System Trainee shall be trained to perform Combat System Project Management, i.e., to coordinate technical compliance and the integration of all sensor and armament systems, including integrated communication systems and navigation systems; support the engineering team in the development of naval vessels; review the added value of work performed by suppliers and subcontractors; and act as a point of contact with the client and end user.

The training includes the following activities: Coordinate the activities of partners and all suppliers of the Combat System components; Control supplier progress regarding quality, quantity, and deadline, in compliance with established contracts; Manage the exchange of information with the client and with the subcontractors' engineering team related to the Combat System; Act as the focal point with the client and end user for any issues related to the Combat System and Combat System Integration, including Communication and Navigation systems in the context of design, integration, and verification (commissioning).

Competencies Competency includes the authority to request technical decisions related to the Combat System from partners and the German engineering department, as well as to introduce standardized formats internally within the company. Problems, conflicts, or deficiencies that hinder or prevent the execution of activities must be reported to the COO.

The trainee's competencies include, as delegated by the Combat System Project Manager: Authority to request responses, status, and decisions from partners and the shipyard; Independent execution of activities; Engagement and coordination of tasks; Preparation of budget adjustments and risk analysis in the context of the Combat System.

Requirements and qualifications Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. Excellent knowledge in complex systems engineering; Professional experience in the field; Experience in project management and systems engineering; PMI certification will be considered a differentiator; Availability for frequent business travel. Fluent English.
