Tasks

• Technical leadership of the base product teams in engineering throughout the entire product lifecycle to ensure the performance and maintainability of market-ready base products
• Analysis of customer and stakeholder requirements as well as customer missions, derivation of operational concepts (OpsCon) and all requirements of internal and external stakeholders for the system
• Creation of specifications and technical concepts as well as planning, creation, and adjustment of various product artifacts according to the product management process
• Ensuring continuous optimization of performance and checking customer/project-specific technical adjustment requirements, as well as guaranteeing the technical usability of base products in customer projects
• Technical support of product development and, if necessary, adjustment of the current implementation (design) for product optimization and increased usability

Profile

• University degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or information technology, as well as many years of professional experience as a Technical Manager in project-specific areas or in system design/development
• Knowledge and experience in Requirements Engineering (ideally INCOSE-certified), Systems Engineering (model-based), as well as a fundamental understanding of military use and needs, including the formulation of vignettes and ConOps
• Comprehensive product or system knowledge, particularly regarding the operational use of the systems, as well as very good knowledge of the relevant applications (DOORS, MS-Office, ideally MagicDraw)
• Detailed knowledge of the valid development process, experience in leading technical product teams, strong customer and service orientation, as well as very good English skills
• Strong teamwork, communication, and conflict resolution skills, international and intercultural experience, as well as a high degree of independence, initiative, and responsibility
