Logistics & Transportation Executive
Your tasks
The successful candidate will coordinate and oversee daily logistics and transportation operations, ensuring efficient route planning, timely cargo delivery, and effective team supervision to optimize operational performance.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily transportation and logistics activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Develop and implement efficient transportation routes and vehicle deployment schedules to optimize delivery times and resource utilization
- Manage cargo collection, transportation, and distribution to meet customer and operational requirements
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with customers, suppliers, drivers, and warehouse personnel to ensure seamless logistics processes
- Monitor transportation schedules and ensure timely fulfilment of operational requirements to maintain service reliability
- Oversee vehicle utilization, maintenance schedules, and transportation records to ensure fleet readiness and regulatory compliance
- Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce expenses
- Resolve transportation-related issues and operational disruptions promptly to minimize impact on service delivery
- Prepare detailed logistics reports and provide actionable recommendations to improve business operations and performance
- Supervise and coordinate drivers and transportation personnel to maintain productivity and adherence to company standards
- Undertake driving assignments when operationally necessary to support transportation needs
Requirements
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, or a related field
- Relevant working experience in transportation operations
- Strong knowledge of transportation planning and logistics coordination
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills demonstrated in logistics contexts
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
