Freight Forwarding Agent (m/f/d)
We are looking for you to join us as a Freight Forwarding Agent (m/f/d) at the earliest possible date!
Your Tasks
- Scheduling and processing of shipping orders
- Determining shipping method, packaging type, and scope of shipment within the framework of general instructions and universally applicable guidelines
- Obtaining and evaluating quotes for national and international transport of orders within the specified framework, e.g., for road freight, heavy loads and couriers, air and sea transport, as well as for special trips
- Processing of standard (export customs clearance) and special customs formalities (active/passive processing, Carnet, etc.) within the framework of the specified organizational processes, observing company, country, and customer-specific regulations
- Checking and accounting for freight invoices, if necessary forwarding charges to suppliers, customers, or freight forwarders, as well as processing the credit note procedure
- Processing of complaints (e.g., losses, transport damage, excessive invoices, exceeding transport times). Checking service provider invoices, e.g., freight forwarders, packers
Your Profile
- Completed training as an Foreign Trade Specialist Import/Export, Wholesale and Foreign Trade Specialist, Freight Forwarding Agent, or comparable with corresponding specialist training in the field of import/export customs clearance
- Initial professional experience in the field of shipping / freight forwarding / logistics
- Confident handling of common MS Office applications and in SAP is advantageous
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Great organizational skills, motivation, flexibility, communication strength, and commitment
