Your Tasks

• Development and optimization of scalable data models and ELT pipelines in Snowflake
• Development of complex SQL transformations with dbt
• Preparation, harmonization, and enrichment of SAP procurement data
• Analysis and modeling of SAP-MM procurement processes
• Optimization of SQL queries, data models, and Snowflake performance
• Provision of high-quality, AI-ready datasets for AI applications
• Implementation of data quality, validation, and governance processes
• Support with migrations and harmonization of SAP-ERP and S/4HANA landscapes
• Documentation of data models, transformation logics, and business rules
• Collaboration with AI Backend Engineers, Procurement Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Cloud Engineers
• Technical support and coaching of Junior Engineers
• Support with architecture reviews, incident resolution, and root-cause analyses

Your Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 8 years of experience in the field of Data Engineering or Data Warehouse development
• Proven experience with enterprise-scale procurement or ERP data
• Experience in supporting business-critical analytical platforms
• Very good knowledge of Snowflake, SQL, dbt, Data Warehouse design, Dimensional Modeling, and ELT/ETL frameworks
• Very good understanding of SAP-MM processes and SAP-MM tables
• Knowledge in the areas of: Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Contracts, Purchase Info Records (PIRs), Source Lists, Quota Arrangements, Materials, Vendors, Pricing Conditions, Purchasing Organizations
• As well as in: SQL Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, Data Model Optimization, Workload Analysis, Snowflake Warehouse Performance Management, Cost Optimization
• Data Quality & Governance: Data Validation Frameworks, Reconciliation Processes
• Metadata Management, Data Lineage, Root-Cause Analysis
• Desirable: Python, Snowpark, Git / GitLab
• CI/CD pipelines, REST APIs, AWS or Azure cloud platforms, Qlik, Power BI, or comparable analytics platforms
• Understanding of one's own role and the influence of one's activities within the process
• Fluent English skills
• Independent way of working
• Ability to critically question existing designs and suggest technical improvements
• Ability to collaborate with Business Analysts, AI Engineers, Cloud Teams, and Procurement Domain Experts
• After the onboarding phase and by individual agreement, up to 100% mobile working is generally possible
