Corporate Tax Executive
Our client, a well-established UK professional services firm, is looking for a Corporate Tax Executive to join their team in Maidstone and help develop the firm's corporate tax offering to clients.
Why This Firm
This is a firm that treats early-career development as a genuine investment, not a box-ticking exercise. Recently qualified professionals here get exposure to advisory, transactional and international tax work well beyond standard compliance, backed by award-winning development programmes and a firm that's serious about building long-term careers rather than just filling seats.
What The Job Actually Involves
You'll manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients ranging from owner-managed businesses and family companies through to large corporate and international groups, preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations, returns and other compliance obligations to a high standard.
Alongside compliance, you'll assist on a wide range of advisory projects, supporting clients through acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and group reorganisations, as well as international tax matters such as cross-border transactions, overseas group structures and double tax treaty issues. You'll work closely with Partners, Directors and Managers on more complex assignments, liaise directly with HMRC, and collaborate with colleagues across audit, accounts and advisory to deliver joined-up solutions for clients.
What You'll Need
- Recently qualified ACA, ACCA and/or CTA, or qualified with up to 2 years' post-qualification experience
- Strong grounding in UK corporate tax compliance, with exposure to advisory work
- Experience working with a range of corporate clients, including owner-managed businesses and corporate groups
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ambition to build a long-term career in corporate tax advisory
