TimeTac... 1 Cloud Engineer (f/m/x) Do you want to build and operate cloud infrastructure that thousands of people rely on every day?

We are looking for a person for the role of Cloud Engineer to take responsibility for our AWS environment and further develop our Kubernetes-based platform. Together with our development teams, you will create the technical foundation to ensure that applications are deployed stably, securely, and efficiently. You will work hands-on with AWS EKS, Aurora, and cloud-native technologies and join us at a time when we are scaling our platform for the next growth phase of TimeTac.

Your Tasks

  • Responsibility for the conception, construction, and operation of our AWS cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on AWS EKS, AWS Aurora, and the associated cloud-native services.
  • Further development and support of our Kubernetes-based platform in close cooperation with the development teams.
  • Implementation and expansion of our Infrastructure-as-Code setup as well as automation of provisioning, configuration, and operation across all environments.
  • Optimization and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines to simplify development processes and shorten lead times for our engineering teams.
  • Strengthening observability, monitoring, and incident response so that problems are detected early and resolved quickly.
  • Optimization of our cloud landscape in the areas of cost, performance, and security.
  • Active participation in troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and knowledge exchange regarding our infrastructure together with our DevOps team.

Your Profile

  • Several years of professional experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar.
  • A completed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a comparable practical qualification.
  • Sound practical experience with AWS or GCP, ideally including EKS, Aurora, VPC Networking, and IAM.
  • Solid Kubernetes know-how: You have already operated clusters in production environments and not just run workloads on them.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, e.g., Terraform, CDK, Pulumi, or similar, as well as a clear preference for automation over manual processes.
  • Confident handling of Linux systems and Shell Scripting.
  • Experience in the conception and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, for example with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
  • A strong focus on reliability, security, and quality, as well as the ability to write clear documentation and post-incident reports.
  • A proactive, responsible way of working and enjoyment in collaborating with development teams.
  • Very good English skills; German skills are an additional plus.

Certifications we value:

Certifications are a strong signal to us of structured knowledge and the continuous development of professional expertise. If you already bring one or more of the following certifications, we will be particularly pleased:
