NFV & Cloud Operations Engineer - O&M Senior Consultant (Senior Analyst)

Responsible for managing Cloud Datacenter infrastructure equipment and network functions virtualization (NFV).

Responsibilities and assignments

• Execute configuration, management, and troubleshooting activities in virtualization and container environments (Hypervisors, Virtual machines, Virtualized Switches (SDN), physical Datastores (LUN) and virtualized (VSAN, CEPH and FusionStorage), PODs and containers, servers, storages, etc.);
• Perform acceptance tests and functional validation of new elements and systems;
• Work alongside responsible teams to validate and ensure the functioning of integrations with monitoring and inventory tools;
• Document operational routines and propose improvements to technical procedures;
• Monitor performance indicators and adjust configurations for resource optimization and prevention of contention;
• Perform troubleshooting in Linux and Windows Server operating systems (bare metal and virtualized);
• Technically support NFVi infrastructure evolution projects, such as upgrades, migrations, and integrations;
• Collaborate with technical teams for problem resolution and continuous improvement of environments.

Requirements and qualifications

• Completed Higher Education, preferably in Telecommunications Engineering, Information Technology, and Computer Systems;
• Experience in Operation and troubleshooting of medium and large-scale virtualized or NFVi environments;
• Experience with market rack and blade Servers (Huawei, Dell, HPE, Nokia) and storages (Huawei and HPE);
• Knowledge in Hypervisors and virtualizers such as VMWare, Red Hat OpenStack, RedHat CoreOS (OpenShift), Huawei FusionSphere and FusionStage;
• Knowledge in Linux operating systems (RHEL, CentOS, Debian) and Windows Server;
• Knowledge in monitoring and datacenter management tools (NMS, Element Managers), such as OpenManage, NADCM, OneView and E-sight;
• A differentiator is having market Certifications such as: VMWare VCP (Data Center/NSX), RedHat CSA (RHCSA), Microsoft AZ-800 and AZ-801, ITIL Intermediate, COBIT, SCRUM, Lean Six Sigma and Yellow Belt;
• A differentiator is having participated in networking troubleshooting in market operating systems (bare metal and VMWare virtual environment);
• A differentiator is possessing knowledge in automation and scripting, such as: Shell, Ansible, PowerCLI, Perl and Python;
• A differentiator is possessing knowledge in Artificial Intelligence applications for predictive failure analysis and operations automation;
• A differentiator is possessing knowledge in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using tools such as Terraform and Ansible;
• A differentiator is possessing experience with modern observability and telemetry tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana and ELK Stack;
• A differentiator is possessing knowledge in security practices applied to virtualized environments, including hypervisor hardening and access management;
• A differentiator is possessing knowledge in data tools such as Power BI and Power Automate for performance analysis and automation;
• A differentiator is possessing basic knowledge in container technologies and orchestration, such as Docker and Kubernetes;
• Intermediate English (reading, conversation, and writing).

Work regime

Hybrid model (3x in-person and 2x remote), Monday to Friday with an on-call schedule on weekends from 1 PM to 10 PM; Location: Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro-RJ.
