Network Solutions Designer - Specialist

Responsible for leading, designing, and implementing engineering projects related to new equipment, platforms, systems, and services, in alignment with the Company's strategies and guidelines. Acts in the definition of requirements, scope, and technical direction of complex and multidisciplinary initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency, technical quality, technological evolution, innovation, regulatory and environmental compliance, as well as generating competitive advantage for the business.

Responsibilities and assignments

• Lead the definition, development, and implementation of technical projects for telecommunications equipment, platforms, systems, and services, ensuring adherence to architectural, operational, and business guidelines;
• Define reference technologies and solutions that sustain the company's competitiveness through scouting, benchmarks, RFI/RFQ processes, consolidation of requirements, and technical evaluation of suppliers;
• Elaborate High Level Design projects and guide Low Level Design technical documentation, ensuring the correct implementation of initiatives related to access, roaming, DNS, security, resilience, decommissioning, regulatory requirements, Wholesale, B2B, partners, and rating plans;
• Analyze demands from client areas, evaluate feasibility, and translate requirements into technical specifications;
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise tests, defining procedures, environments, criteria, traceability of results, and sharing with the involved areas;
• Map criticalities and impacts associated with the deployment of network projects, including technical, operational, regulatory, and environmental risks, defining preventive and corrective actions;
• Define technical standards for design, execution, and installation, observing regulatory, environmental, safety, and quality requirements;
• Ensure the correct dimensioning of architectures and platforms according to the predicted evolution of services, traffic, and demands from client areas;
• Ensure that implementations, integrations, and rollouts occur in compliance with technological, architectural, regulatory, and quality standards, monitoring indicators, milestones, and project deliveries;
• Plan and monitor deadlines, requirements, economic resources, and procurement processes, including approvals, BoQ, PO, FS, provisions, and payment flows to suppliers;
• Report to leadership occurrences with potential environmental impact, presenting field data, probable causes, and adopted mitigating actions;
• Comply, within the deadline, with all mandatory training for the role, keeping the individual learning plan updated;
• Comply with legal regulations and internal Safety & Environmental Governance standards, keeping the IUS Natura Legal Requirements tool updated and promoting environmental protection;
• Monitor activities of contractors and subcontractors with potential environmental impact, disseminating TIM's environmental guidelines and ensuring compliance with established standards;
• Act as an agent of technological transformation, promoting innovation, automation, digitalization, and continuous improvement of engineering and operation processes;
• Evaluate and lead opportunities for the use of AI, analytics, and automation to support feasibility studies, predictive failure analysis, capacity optimization, and prioritization of network projects.

Requirements and qualifications

• Completed Higher Education in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related areas;
• Experience in virtualized 2G/3G/4G/5G mobile network architecture, with emphasis on Packet Core - including 5G Core SA and NSA, EPC, vEPC, CUPs, and DNS -, acting in the implementation of platform projects, special initiatives, POCs, validation, and solution integration;
• Experience in Core platform integration projects, contributing to the deployment and evolution of network solutions;
• Experience in Project Engineering, Deployment, Planning, and Operations areas, focusing on solutions for Packet Core Network and NFVi;
• Experience in the implementation of cloud native solutions, including containers, Docker, Kubernetes, and virtual private networks;
• Knowledge of environmental impacts associated with the implementation and use of functionalities in telecommunications platforms, services, and systems;
• Knowledge of Lean/Agile development Methodologies;
• Experience in the use of AI, analytics, programming, and automation for network optimization and development of tools aimed at the improvement, simplification, and implementation of Packet Core services;
• Languages: Advanced English (reading, writing, and conversation).

Work regime

Hybrid work model (3x in-person and 2x remote), Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00; Location: Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro-RJ.
