Expert - Group Accounting Principles IFRS and External Reporting (m/f/d) (Fachwirt/in - Finanzberatung)

Tasks

You will play a decisive role in shaping our IFRS financial reporting, strengthening transparency and quality in the consolidated financial statements, and ensuring that we confidently and consistently meet capital market-relevant requirements.

• Your tasks include processing fundamental accounting questions in accordance with IFRS rules, including the relevant implications for local accounting.
• The introduction of new accounting standards, including any necessary reporting structures, is also part of your activities.
• Your team tasks include the preparation of the notes to the consolidated financial statements according to IFRS, as well as participation in the cross-functional process for the preparation of the annual report, including ESEF reporting.
• You proactively address accounting topics and maintain intensive communication with the Group's functional departments as well as the segments. In doing so, you work closely with Controlling, Tax and Legal departments, IT, and other interfaces.
• You actively participate in special projects such as M&A transactions, IT implementations, and the harmonization of accounting processes, taking on professional responsibility in the process.
• Additionally, you take independent responsibility for the coordination and communication with the external auditors, including documentation activities.

Profile

• You have a successfully completed degree, ideally with a focus on Accounting, Audit, or Finance.
• You have several years of relevant professional experience – ideally in an auditing firm or in a comparable function in the group accounting of a listed company.
• You possess comprehensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, HGB, as well as in the areas of annual financial statements, balance sheet analysis, auditing, and external reporting.
• Furthermore, you bring in-depth specialized knowledge in at least two areas of increased complexity (e.g., Lease Accounting, Financial Instruments, Revenue Recognition, Cash Flow Statement, Impairment testing, etc.).
• You are proficient in the confident use of Disclosure Management Software, ERP systems, and all common Office applications.
• You work in a structured, analytical, and independent manner – with high initiative, flexibility, and strong teamwork and cooperation skills.
• You also possess very good communication skills in English.
