Thrive Education are looking for a Baby Room Lead to join a lovely nursery setting in Gloucester on a permanent basis.

The nursery has recently been taken over by new owners and is part of a small group of settings. They are looking for someone who can come in, take the lead within their baby room and become a key part of the team as the nursery moves forward under its new ownership.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Level 3 Early Years Practitioner looking to take that next step, or an existing Room Lead looking for a new setting where they can bring their own ideas and experience.

The Role: As Baby Room Lead, you will:

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the baby room
• Create a safe, caring and nurturing environment for the babies
• Support and lead the practitioners working within the room
• Plan engaging and age-appropriate activities
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers
• Support children's learning and development in line with the EYFS
• Ensure safeguarding and nursery procedures are followed
• Bring your own ideas and enthusiasm to help develop the room

What we're looking for:

• Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent
• Good experience working within an Early Years or nursery setting
• Experience and confidence working with babies
• A strong understanding of the EYFS
• A nurturing, enthusiastic and reliable approach
• Confidence taking responsibility and supporting other members of staff
• Someone who genuinely enjoys working within Early Years
