Nurse Clinician

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Assess patients and identify changes in their clinical condition.
• Provide direct nursing care for patients with complex or specialised needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualised nursing care plans.
• Monitor patients’ progress and escalate deterioration appropriately.
• Work closely with doctors, allied health professionals, and other healthcare teams.
• Guide and supervise staff nurses and junior nursing staff.
• Provide clinical teaching, mentoring, and competency training.
• Participate in orientation and preceptorship of new nurses.
• Develop and implement evidence-based nursing practices.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, quality-improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
• Help develop nursing protocols, guidelines, and care pathways.
• Educate patients and families about disease management, medications, procedures, and discharge care.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and comply with hospital policies and Singapore nursing standards.

QUALIFICATION/ EXPERIENCE

• Registered Nurse (RN) registration with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• Relevant nursing diploma or degree.
• Several years of clinical nursing experience.
• Good clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
• Leadership, communication, teaching, and mentoring abilities.
• Relevant post-registration or specialty qualifications may be advantageous.
