Strategic Procurement Specialist

We are looking for an experienced procurement professional to join the procurement team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and directly impact the company's supply chain. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and leading procurement processes with suppliers locally and globally, while ensuring a continuous supply of materials and services essential to the company's operations. The role combines working with many interfaces within the organization, commercial negotiation, identifying cost-saving opportunities, building long-term partnerships with suppliers, and implementing procurement strategies that support the company's business goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the supplier portfolio, conducting supplier sourcing and selection processes, analyzing market trends, and identifying supply chain risks. The work is performed in close collaboration with the production, engineering, quality, and planning departments, with the aim of ensuring material availability, optimizing processes, and supporting continuous improvement. Mandatory Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree.
• Approximately two years of experience in procurement or supplier management within a manufacturing environment or a regulated industry.
• An advantage for graduates of Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant fields.

Professional Skills

• High analytical abilities and proven negotiation skills.
• Experience in leading initiatives for cost optimization and performance improvement.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Full proficiency in Office applications.
• Experience in supplier relationship management and commercial contract management.
• Familiarity with strategic procurement processes and RFQ / RFP / RFI processes.
• Experience working with performance metrics and supplier evaluation.
