Driving Duties:

The primary responsibility is to drive the vehicle safely, comply with all traffic rules and applicable laws, and ensure the safety of passengers and cargo.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Responsible for conducting regular inspections and maintenance of the vehicle, including checking oil and fluid levels, maintaining tyres, changing engine oil, and other necessary maintenance to ensure the vehicle remains in good working condition.

Transportation of Goods:

For drivers operating goods vehicles, responsible for the safe transportation of goods, including proper loading and unloading, securing cargo, and ensuring the goods remain intact throughout transportation.

Route Planning:

Ensure the most appropriate route is selected by taking into consideration traffic conditions, weather conditions, and other relevant factors, in order to reach the destination safely and efficiently.

Records and Reporting:

Maintain records of mileage, fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance, and other relevant information, and report to the supervisor or relevant department when necessary.

Vehicle Safety:

Ensure that the vehicle is equipped with the necessary safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and other required items, and ensure that such equipment is in proper working condition.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations:

Comply with all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and company policies, and ensure that the driving licence, vehicle documents, and other relevant documents are valid and up to date.

Communication and Coordination:

Maintain effective communication and coordination with dispatchers, customers, event organisers, and other team members to ensure that assigned tasks are completed smoothly.

Emergency Response:

Take appropriate action in the event of an emergency, including contacting the relevant emergency services, reporting accidents, and taking necessary measures to ensure safety.

Transportation of Catering Equipment:

Safely and carefully transport catering equipment and necessary items, such as chafing dishes, trays, utensils, and other equipment, from the storage area to the event venue.

Setting Up Buffet Stations:

Work with the event organiser to determine the layout of the buffet stations. Set up tables and arrange the buffet equipment in an organised and presentable manner.

Arrangement of Food and Beverages:

Coordinate with catering staff to arrange food and beverages on the buffet tables. Ensure that each dish is appropriately labelled and that suitable serving utensils are provided for each item.

Maintaining Food Safety:

Observe and comply with food safety requirements and ensure that perishable food items are maintained at the appropriate temperatures. Set up heating or cooling equipment as required.

Presentation and Display:

Pay attention to the presentation and display of the buffet to ensure that it is attractive, organised, and convenient for guests to access.

Other Ad-Hoc Duties:

Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned, including providing additional support when required and handling unforeseen circumstances or emergencies.
