Position title : Sales Application Engineer
Location: Tagore Industrial Ave, Singapore 787816 (Upper Thomson) Working Days: 5 days (Mon-Fri) Working hours: 8:30am - 5:30pm Salary : $4500 - $6500 (Transport allowance + Mobile Reimbusement)
Responsibilities
- Sales & Customer Technical Support
- Work with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide pre- and post-sales technical support.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and recommend suitable engineering solutions.
- Manage customer expectations and address technical or engineering concerns throughout the sales process.
- Engineering Solutions & Technical Support
- Develop and recommend practical engineering solutions to address customers' technical and operational challenges.
- Work closely with customers' engineering/maintenance teams and the Technical Service Unit to implement solutions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and propose alternative solutions where required.
- Maintain service quality in accordance with company standards.
- Product Presentation & Training
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical sales presentations for customers and prospects.
- Provide technical and product training to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the development of product and marketing materials when required.
- Product & Supplier Development
- Monitor industry trends, market activities and competitor developments to identify opportunities for product improvements or new products.
- Source and evaluate reliable local and overseas suppliers.
- Communicate and negotiate with principals and suppliers to obtain cost-effective solutions.
- Liaise between customers and suppliers to clarify technical requirements and specifications.
- Project Management
- Manage engineering projects from initial concept through to completion.
- Coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide technical support and alternative solutions when issues arise during project execution.
- Ensure all project information and documentation are properly maintained in the company database.
Requirement
- Possess at least a Diploma in Engineering
- Min 3 years in relevant experience in steam traps and other steam related products like boiler, fluid control systems, etc and experience in thermal audit.
