0731 - Vehicle Mechanic (Heavy Machinery)

Role: Heavy Machinery & Vehicle Mechanic Working days: Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM Working location: Jalan Papan (Lakeside MRT) Salary: Basic $2600 to $3600 + allowances  Requirements •    Practical experience repairing heavy construction machinery (specifically excavators) alongside light and heavy commercial vehicles. •    Solid working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, automotive transmissions, and electrical diagnostics. •    Valid driving license (e.g., Class 3/4, if required for site visits) is an advantage. Key Responsibilities: •    Maintenance & Repairs: Perform regular maintenance, preventive servicing, and general repairs on heavy machinery (excavators), as well as light and heavy vehicles. •    Diagnostics & Overhauls: Conduct diagnostic checks, troubleshooting, automotive transmission repairs, hydraulic system servicing, and engine overhauls. •    Defect Rectification: Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical vehicle defects. •    Installation & Commissioning: Assist in the installation, testing, commissioning, or servicing of equipment at the workshop or customer/project sites. •    Technical Support: Provide technical support for general operational or functionality issues via remote guidance or on-site support. •    Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed field service reports after completing equipment servicing or repairs. •    Teamwork & Safety Compliance: Work closely with the Team Lead and Supervisors to execute designated tasks according to official workflows, safety protocols, and SOPs. •    Ad-hoc Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
