About the Role
As a SEND Teacher, you will provide high-quality teaching and support for pupils with a range of additional needs. You will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where students can build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Support students with a range of SEND, including learning, communication, and behavioural needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies to ensure all learners can access the curriculum.
- Monitor, assess, and celebrate pupil progress.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, SENDCOs, families, and external professionals.
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND.
- Understanding of individual learning needs and personalised support strategies.
- Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
- Commitment to supporting every young person to succeed.
