About Noa Hidden beneath the iconic Beurs van Berlage, in what was once a bicycle cellar, a completely new nightlife experience opens this autumn in the heart of Amsterdam: Noa. An exclusive restaurant-bar-club where music, atmosphere, gastronomy, and design converge. Noa is located in an insane space with no fewer than 23 monumental arches, a historical location - where even the King and Queen were married. For dinner, we serve refined Japanese bites, prepared by you, our culinary sushi chef. Afterwards, we transition effortlessly into an atmosphere of late-night drinks, great artists, and dancing until the early hours (on weekends).
The role We are looking for a motivated and eager-to-learn Assistant Sushi Chef with a passion for Japanese cuisine. You already have some experience in preparing sushi and are ready to further develop your skills in a high-quality and dynamic working environment. What we are looking for is commitment, accuracy, and enthusiasm. We will provide the right guidance and training.
What you will do You support the preparation of sushi and other Japanese dishes according to high quality standards
You work with fresh daily ingredients and learn under the guidance of experienced chefs
You assist in the preparation for service and ensure a neat and organized workplace
You contribute to a positive and professional atmosphere within the kitchen team
What we are looking for in you You have approximately 1 to 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with sushi
You have a passion for Japanese cuisine and want to further develop in this field
You work accurately and have an eye for detail
You are eager to learn, enthusiastic, and open to training and guidance
You speak fluent English, Dutch is not a requirement
You are available from circa August 1, 2025, for training and preparation
What we offer A fixed salary between €2600 and €2800 per month, depending on your knowledge and experience A good bonus scheme
