Company Description The Refugee Voice is a refugee youth–led initiative based in Bidibidi Refugee Settlement, Uganda, that began as a social media platform for storytelling and advocacy. It has grown into a registered community-based organization offering sustainable life skills training, including tailoring and entrepreneurship, to support refugee self-reliance. The organization provides a space for refugees to share their experiences, raise awareness, and advocate for their rights. By amplifying refugee voices through digital channels, The Refugee Voice works toward a more inclusive and just society. Team members and volunteers join a movement centered on dignity, empowerment, and meaningful participation of refugee communities.

Resource Mobilization Officer – Inclusive Education & Scholarships

The Resource Mobilization Officer will lead efforts to secure financial, material, and institutional support for Deaf, blind, and other children with disabilities to access quality, inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and pursue funding, scholarship, and sponsorship opportunities.

Develop proposals, concept notes, fundraising campaigns, and sponsorship packages.

Build relationships with donors, sponsors, schools, NGOs, companies, and development partners.

Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries, sponsors, and resources mobilized.

Support donor communication, reporting, and accountability.

Promote inclusive education and equal educational opportunities.

Monitor supported children's enrollment, attendance, and educational progress.

Ensure all activities uphold child safeguarding, dignity, privacy, and informed consent.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Development Studies, Social Work, Education, Business Administration, Communications, Project Management, International Development, or a related field.

At least 1–2 years of experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, grant writing, partnership development, community development, or a related role.

Experience working with children, persons with disabilities, refugees, or vulnerable communities is an advantage.

Demonstrated ability to identify funding opportunities and develop proposals or fundraising materials.

Strong communication, networking, research, and relationship-management skills.

Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office and online research.

Strong integrity, accountability, confidentiality, and commitment to inclusive education and child safeguarding.
