Key responsibilities:

  • Proactively source and purchase vehicles by engaging with motor dealers, traders, and suppliers
  • Negotiate purchase prices and terms to optimise margins and value
  • Verify vehicle history and documentation, including V5, HPI, and VAT checks, prior to purchase
  • Accurately record all transactions and updates in the CRM system
  • Oversee all purchase-related paperwork, ensuring compliance and accuracy from offer through to completion
  • Coordinate with logistics and external transport providers for timely vehicle collection and delivery
  • Manage invoices, credit notes, and supplier payments, ensuring financial accuracy
  • Reconcile bills, facilitate customer invoicing, and maintain detailed financial records
  • Support the financial team with bank reconciliation and purchase documentation
  • As the department expands, oversee junior administrative staff and provide training on processes and systems

About you:

  • Proven experience in the motor trade, particularly in vehicle buying, remarketing, or wholesale operations
  • Strong commercial awareness with confident negotiation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail when managing documentation and transactional data
  • Ability to manage multiple deals efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, and administrative tools
  • Professional and engaging communicator who can handle daily phone interactions comfortably
  • Financially astute with understanding of invoicing, billing, and reconciliation processes
  • Organised, proactive, and capable of taking ownership of responsibilities
