Location: Athboy Blasting Centre, Athboy, Co. Meath Job type: Full time Salary: €36,605 – €40,000 per annum

Athboy Blasting Centre is hiring Vehicle Technicians. We are expanding our team and seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to deliver top-tier service, working with a variety of vehicles.

Position Summary:

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of vehicles to the highest industry standards. You will work to scheduled maintenance timelines, ensuring safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Service and maintain vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines.
• Diagnose, test, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using diagnostic tools.
• Perform routine servicing tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and tyre fitting.
• Conduct thorough brake inspections, replacements, and alignments.
• Carry out hybrid and electric vehicle battery health checks in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Produce detailed technical write-ups for retail and warranty work.
• Work closely with the Service and Parts departments to ensure timely availability of parts and accurate repair updates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
• Assist with general workshop duties as required.

Skills and Experience:

• A relevant qualification in motor vehicle technology is desirable but not essential
• Minimum 1 year of experience as vehicle technician
• Exposure to all types of vehicles is an advantage
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail

Qualifications & Requirements:

• National apprentice qualification or equivalent
• Full, valid, clean driving licence. Not mandatory but an advantage.
• Knowledge and awareness of workshop health and safety practices
