This role is ideal for a commercially minded Regulatory Lawyer looking to develop their expertise, build a strong market profile and grow their own practice – JOB REF: 215305647

THE ROLE

You will advise clients on a broad range of regulatory, consumer and commercial matters, including food, consumer protection, digital, e-commerce, anti-discrimination, and advertising law. You will have the opportunity to develop specialist expertise in digital, product regulation, labelling and advertising, providing pragmatic, risk-based advice on regulatory compliance and the application of regulation to new products, services, and markets. The role will also involve advising on regulatory investigations, enforcement action, and ASA complaints, supporting clients with new product launches and market entry, and handling complex international matters alongside lawyers across multiple jurisdictions. You will build strong client relationships, contribute to business development, and help grow the firm's regulatory offering, with opportunities to support supervision and wider team leadership as your experience develops.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Regulatory Solicitor with 4+ PQE, ideally with experience gained within a large regional, national, or international firm. You will have strong technical regulatory expertise, with an interest in the food and beverage, education, and/or technology sectors, alongside a commercial mindset and excellent analytical, research and problem-solving skills. Strong written communication, attention to detail and the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and referrers are essential. You will be pragmatic, self-motivated and solutions-focused, with sound judgement, initiative, and strong interpersonal skills. Supervisory experience would be advantageous.
